The National Healthcare Innovation Hub

Finally after years of lobbying, cajoling and encouraging, the government have agreed to fund a national healthcare innovation hub through Enterprise Ireland. The concept is simple - create the machinery to enable clinicians, healthcare workers, industry, academics and entrepreneurs collaborate in developing novel products and services for Irish and global healthcare.

For consortia or institutions considering applying to host the national centre, the details are attached.

Call for Proposals and Call Documentation

Enterprise Ireland is currently seeking Hosting applications from Research Performing Organisations (RPOs) in the Republic of Ireland to respond to the objective of facilitating clinicians, hospitals, healthcare companies, researchers and other innovators to work together for the benefit of patients and the healthcare system, whilst also supporting the growth of the lifescience and other relevant sectors in Ireland. The call invites applicants to submit a proposal and a case to be the host institution for the proposed Hub.

  • Hosting Application Template (word format)

The Guide for Applicants is the key document setting out the rationale and detailed needs and requirements for the National Health Innovation Hub. This is not available to download in the public domain. The Guide for Applicants will be made available on request from Enterprise Ireland.
